Today, the Democratically- controlled House of Representatives passed a resolution that would withdraw troops from Iraq come April 1, 2008, causing America to lose an important battle in the War on Terror. The resolution passed by 223- 201. Four "Republican" members voted for the resolution. Praise should be given to the ten Democrats that went against their defeatist colleagues. This was a move to undermine President Bush and his policies. The "Republican" members that voted for the measure are:
Congressman John J. Duncan (TN-2)
Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson (MO-8)
Congressman Wayne Ghilcrest (MD-2)
Congressman Walter Jones (NC-3)Lastly, the liberal media would make you believe that every Republican in the House and Senate has turned against President Bush on the War in Iraq. This vote is evidence that a super- majority of Republicans still stand by America winning the War on Terror, considering that only
FOUR Republicans out of 201 voted for this measure. Republicans should be relieved to know that President Bush still has strong supporters in both Houses of Congress.
